This tour in Chicago is rated #1 in the United States by TripAdvisor.

Living in Rockford definitely has many advantages. There are so many fun and interesting things to see and do. Plus, if you are in the mood to get out of town for a few hours, we are located close to several cool places to go check out.

Rockford is just a short drive to places like Madison, Milwaukee, and the Quad Cities. That is just naming a couple. You can spend several weekends every year taking adventures in Illinois and Wisconsin. Plus, Chicago is within striking distance.

I am sure since you have been hanging out in Rockford for the past year, you are ready to hit the road. Maybe, you do not have the funds to go on a full-out vacation or you are not quite ready for a quest into the world yet. There is nothing wrong with taking some day trips near the Forest City.

The Windy City is a good place to start. There are so many sights it would take a whole bunch of visits to come even close to doing a majority of them. What is great, there is something for everyone. You can do educational or for entertainment. How about inside or outside? Do not forget about sports and music. There are places for kids, adults, or the whole family.

It could be overwhelming at first but here is a good place to start. I suggest trying out a boat ride and Shoreline Sightseeing is one of the best.

According to enjoyillinois.com,

"Discover why Shoreline Sightseeing's Architecture River Tour, which was rated the #1 Tour in America by TripAdvisor, is a must-do adventure for both locals and visitors from around the world! Led by Shoreline’s experienced, educated, and entertaining docents, this 75-minute tour includes details, facts, and the history of more than 40 buildings that line the Chicago River. Enjoy breathtaking views and outstanding photo opportunities as you cruise down all three branches of the Chicago River."

I have been on it a few times myself and it is really cool.
