The Rockford IceHogs are holding their annual Teddy Bear Toss this Saturday night to benefit children admitted to Rockford area hospitals.

It's one of my favorite Rockford charity events of the year, the annual Teddy Bear Toss hosted by the IceHogs.

If you aren't familiar with how it works, the concept is very simple.

Make plans to come out to the Rockford IceHogs game this Saturday night. Grab a couple of new stuffed animals to bring with you. When the team scores their first goal of the game, throw the toys onto the ice.

Here's an example...

As you can see, it's amazing watching all of those stuffed animals fly onto the ice from the stands. A great night of family fun helping out an incredible cause.

The teddy bears are donated to Rockford area hospitals and local children's charities for Christmas. The players personally deliver the stuffed animals to the kids. They collect thousands each year.
