Did you know it's 'Puppy Season'? Yeah, that exists and it's happening right now. With warmer weather comes an influx of puppies to local shelters.

So Rockford IceHogs are hosting a pet item drive for Pucks & Paws Night this Saturday, March 30 at 6 p.m when they host the Grand Rapids Griffins. It will be a home game at the BMO and the item drive will benefit local animal shelters.

The IceHogs' website details -

Fans who donate at the entrance of the arena on Saturday will receive a free upper-sideline ticket voucher to the IceHogs’ home game next Tuesday, April 2 vs. the San Antonio Rampage.

Suggested donations include pet food and pet cleaning supplies.

Don't just bring pet supplies though, bring your pet! The Hog's website says -

Saturday is Pucks and Paws Night at the BMO. Fans can bring their dog to the game and the first 1,500 fans will receive a free souvenir dog leash, courtesy of Riverside Dental. The IceHogs will also host their annual wiener dog race during the contest, as well as the final dog show of the 2018-19 season.

(Note: fans who bring their dog to the game will be required to provide the dog's registration number and county of registration at the game before being admitted into the BMO Harris Bank Center). To purchase tickets for the IceHogs game on Saturday, click HERE or call (815) 986-6465.
