Things You Didn’t Know About It’s The Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown
It's The Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown is one of the most beloved classics of the Peanuts installments. I've seen it more times than I can count, but there's some things I never picked on that were featured by TV Guide that stand out.
1. Recording Sally's lines was rushed to completion because the little girl, Cathy Steinberg, had a loose front tooth that would cause a change in her speech. It fell out as she said her last lines.
2. The voice of Charlie Brown, Peter Robbins, actually received rocks instead of candy in his bucket the year the special debuted.
3. As if Lucy doesn't have enough on her plate, between being a psychologist, a major role in her school's Christmas productions, and keeping her group together, it appears she also is a star of some kind. In "It's The Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown," Lucy can be seen reading a TV Guide, with herself featured on the cover.
