The Town That Sucks the Most in Wisconsin is Minutes from Rockford
What towns in Wisconsin are the worst places to live? The list you probably don't want to see your town on. The study was based on numbers, not opinions.
I should mention that these lists of awful places to live is never about the 'friendly people' that live there or the beauty that may lie within their borders.
This list points at the things that bring more quality to our lives and identifies, with supporting data, towns around the state where they are lacking.
Does the list below include many of the things that add quality to your life?
- Good education
- Lots of jobs
- Low crime
- Low poverty
- Nice homes
- High incomes
- High population density (Lots of things to do)
- Short work commutes
- Health insurance
When sharing their list, Road Snacks said,
"To figure out how bad a place is to live in, we only needed to know what kinds of things people like and then decide what cities have the least amount of those things."
While the data is there to support this list, it doesn't take into account how far a town may have come, to try and NOT make it onto lists like this. The town that lands on top of this 'worst places in Wisconsin' list, has evolved tremendously in a few of the areas mentioned on that list above.

There are economic struggles in most communities around the county, and as opportunity fades, a town's criminal element sees an increase. This list certainly proves that.
Lasting change takes time and I'm pulling for Beloit. The town of Beloit is one of Rockford's closest neighbors and I'm a regular customer.
