For the best picnic, check out this place in Rockford.

Since I was a kid, I've always liked a picnic. Something about eating outside excited me. My parents even had a table on our patio so we didn't even have to leave the house. Maybe, that's why I like to tailgate before concerts, games, and other events.

I enjoy the whole process including the prep work, organizing, and then partaking. When my friends or family are planning an outing, I'm usually the one in charge.

When my daughter was younger, she had the same fondness for picnics as I do. We would pack a lunch and hit the park in our neighborhood. It was some great family fun.

Of course, there are some places that are ideal for an outing. What's the best place in Rockford.

According to gorockford.com,

"Pack up your favorite treats in a picnic basket and find a place to dine among the roses at Sinnissippi Gardens! Located along the Rock River, Sinnissippi Gardens features an All-American Rose Selection accredited rose garden with approximately 2,000 rose plants and 62 varieties."

I've been there many times but never had a picnic there. I'm going to have to try that sometime in the near future. I suggest if you're looking for an activity this summer, think about having a good old fashion picnic.
