It's National Walking Day, so celebrate by taking a stroll in Rockford.

There isn't much we can do right now besides hang out at home but there's one thing on the "good" list that gets you off the sofa. That's take a walk.

I've noticed a lot of people in my neighborhood taking advantage by getting out and cruising around the block. It's actually really cool to see.

On Wednesday, April 1st is National Walking Day. In fact, it's celebrated on the first Wednesday of April every year. If you don't believe me, check it out HERE.

At this point, the weather forecast is looking good... partly sunny and 53. I'd call that a perfect spring day.

The best part is you don't have to go far, Just step out of your home and start walking. It's pretty simple. Not much effort needed.

Let me make one suggestion to make it just a little bit better. Download the 96.7 The Eagle App on your phone (HERE), throw on some headphones, and rock out to some Classic Rock for your walking soundtrack.

Enjoy your stroll in Rockford.
