Starting this fall if a student in Freeport is involved in an after school activity, sports and non-athletic programs will be randomly drug tested.

According to WIFR the school board approved the drug testing that will cost around $8000 a year.

So if you play soccer, football or you sing in the choir or play in the band, you would be subject to a random drug test.

The goal obviously is to keep students off any sort of drug, but to also prepare them for a drug free life after high school.

Speaking of drugs in high school here is the movie Dazed and Confused.
