With the weather being absolutely fantastic, I've decided to take a nice brisk walk to get some sunshine and exercise. I expected the smell of fresh air, smiling faces and puppy dogs but what I got was the complete opposite.

To start off my walk I ran across this beauty. A snot filled tissue just hanging out in the middle of the sidewalk. How am I going to get around this thing? It's a germ bomb waiting to explode.

Good thing I was busy looking down at the sidewalk, trying to avoid contact with the guy raking his leaves, when I came across this beauty. I could have tripped and broke my leg on this horribly uneven concrete.

Just when I thought I was in the clear I came across this booby trap. My dainty little lady feet in my dainty little lady shoes were not prepared for these twigs.

Here is my friend Michelle on the same walk with me. She was afraid of going any further (and I don't blame her.) That crack going down the center of the sidewalk could open up at any time and swallow us deep into the depths of the Earth. We skipped over to the grass and walked to the other side of the street to safety.

Once on the other side of the road we came across this ankle twister. When walking through this uneven-ankle-buster make sure to walk straight in the center. If you veer too far to the left, you twist an ankle and hit the pavement. If you veer too far to the right, you twist an ankle, try to catch your balance and get your other foot stuck in the drain and then you hit the pavement.

I gave up on the sidewalk at this point. I figured I'd have a better chance of safety by walking on the street. Then I met with this fantastic obstacle. (In all fairness, I wanted to open the bags, put the leaves in a pile and jump.)

I thought I just about have had enough. Looks like I wasn't the only spring walker who felt that way. The sidewalk must have driven them to drink.

While you are on your beautiful spring walks, remember to use caution. You never know what surprises may be in store for you.
