Rockford, Illinois ‘Hidden Gem’ Found…in the Garbage.
Every once in a while, you see something that makes you turn around. Something so powerful, that it grabs your attention and you can't shake it. Something so emotional, that you can't decide if a tear or a laugh would be in order. Something so OMG that making an illegal turn is worth it. This week I found that.
It's not like I'm digging through people's garbage or purposely trying to find some sort of "lost key to Rockford," but this was something that caught my eye. What is the meaning behind this, and why was on display in such an obvious fashion?
Valentine's Day wasn't all that long ago and the though of a love gone bad, weighed heavy on my mind. Is this a symbol of a Rockford relationship that reached it's final days. Does this Rockford "Hidden Gem" symbolize something deeper and more important?
The next question is the "why?" Why would anyone dispose of this, in this way? Of all the ways to "trash" something so sentimental and thoughtful? I was dumbfounded, filled with so many unanswered questions and lost...But the Rockford, Illinois 'Hidden Gem' Was Indeed Found.
One man's trash is another man's treasure? Not that I took this out of the garbage, but I thought about AT LEAST taking it to work and placing it on Double T's car.
So here it is. This "Rockford Hidden Gem" that leaves so many questions, unanswered. R.I.P. Teddy.
