A film shot over several years around Rockford, has a release date on Hulu, and a new trailer was just released. Here's everything you need to know.

Hulu announced last week that, Minding The Gap, will debut on August 17 on their streaming service. They made the announcement by releasing a brand new trailer.

The film was directed by Bing Liu who graduated from Rock Valley College. The film tells the story of Bing and his friends dealing with their struggles and how skateboarding helped them find relief from how difficult their lives were becoming. Since its release at the beginning of 2018, the documentary has received nothing but great reviews, including winning the Special jury Award at the Sundance Film Festival.

Minding The Gap will also be a part of the Mosaic World Film Festival at 6 p.m. on Aug. 24, at 2 p.m. on Aug. 25 and at 4:30 p.m. on Aug. 26 in the Nordlof Center, 118 N. Main St. A Q&A with the cast and crew will follow each screening, according to rrstar.com.
