Learn more about professional Foosball players in an entertaining documentary coming to Chicago.

When I was a kid, not many people in my neighborhood had video gaming systems. Maybe one kid on the block had Atari. Back then, every house had a "Rec Room" in their basement. That's where the family would do their entertaining. There was usually a bar, and old TV, stereo, and some sort of tabletop game. It was either pool, ping pong, bumper pool, air hockey, or foosball. My favorite was foosball.

My uncle had a foosball table and every Christmas my cousins and I would have a tournament. We thought that was the best. Never in a million years did I think that people played the game professionally.

Recently, I had the opportunity to chat with writer, director, and producer, Joe Helsinga. His latest project is a documentary about foosball, called "Foosballers." Here's my interview if you missed it.

I'm a big fan of documentaries, especially when they are funny and entertaining. I can't wait to see this one.

There will be a showing at the Music Box Theater in Chicago on February 11th. For more information about that and the movie, HERE.
