A man from the Rockford area was arrested for selling counterfeit football tickets.

When there's a big game, concert or event, the tickets sell out fast. Then fans will hit the secondary market to get some. Of course, they're a lot more money. For a better deal, some people might hit somewhere like Craigslist. The only problem, those purchases aren't guaranteed. Businesses like Stub Hub will stand behind their product. That means you have to be really careful of open marketplaces on the internet. Shady sellers will try to cheat you.

I was glad to see someone get busted for it.

According to mystateline.com,

"A man was arrested for selling fake football tickets on Craigslist. South Beloit Police say they became aware of the Craiglist scam in which he allegedly was attempting to sell fake Wisconsin Badger tickets for the game against Michigan. He was arrested on a Forgery charge and taken to the Winnebago County Jail."

I suggest staying away from buying tickets like that.
