Rock and Roll Recap for March 28 featuring Ozzy Osbourne, Jimmy Page and more.

2005 - U2 officially started their Vertigo Tour in San Diego, after a warm-up show the night before in L.A. The band played 131 dates in total.

2000 - Jimmy Page agreed to accept "substantial" libel damages and a public apology over a magazine article that claimed he contributed to the death of John Bonham, Led Zeppelin's drummer.

1996 - Phil Collins announced that he would leave Genesis to concentrate on his solo career.

1992 - 150 thousand dollars in damages was done to the Irvine Meadows Amphitheater in Irvine, California. Ozzy Osbourne invited the first two rows of the audience on stage during his concert. Other joined in as well.

1986 - More than six thousand radio stations of all format varieties played "We are the World" simultaneously at 10:15 a.m. EST.

1982 - David Crosby was arrested after crashing his car on the San Diego Freeway. Police also found cocaine and a pistol in his car.

U2 put on an awesome show in Chicago that year. My favorite U2 song, "Sunday Bloody Sunday."
