A public pool in Illinois had to shut down early because of the chaos started by hundreds of teenagers.

When I was growing up, there was a public pool right across the street from my house. I pretty much spent all summer there. It was so much fun and great memories. To my friends and me, it was the best way to spend our time when there was no school.

Back in those days, there wasn't a lot of trouble at the public pool. Kids could go there and have a good time. When I drive by one of the pools here in Rockford and there's a bunch of kids having fun, it puts a smile on my face. Especially because the children are outside, along with being active.
Unfortunately, not all kids nowadays want to have a good time. Many just want to cause trouble, and many times, there aren't consequences for their actions. The parents let them do whatever they want. That leads to incidents like this one in Illinois.

According to NBC Chicago...
A suburban community pool closed early over the Fourth of July weekend after unruly behavior erupted when a large crowd swarmed the area, police said.
At approximately 5 p.m. on Saturday, Glen Ellyn police were informed of a growing crowd of teenagers and young people, estimated at between 200 and 300 people, at the Glen Ellyn Park District’s Sunset Pool along Fairview Avenue near Main Street.
Some of those in attendance were seen entering without paying, smoking cannabis and consuming alcohol in violation of park district ordinances, police said.
We're seeing issues like this one throughout the state. I'm not sure what the solution is, but we need one. This is a town that normally doesn't have too many problems. Now, they have something to worry about.
