New Illinois Movie Stars Actor From One Of The Top Shows Of All Time
The latest movie to be filmed in Illinois features some big names out of Hollywood including a star from one of the biggest shows of all time, "The Office."
Movie Making Isn't Just In Hollywood
I guess if you think about it, movies have been made all over the world for a long time but the capital of the "film industry" is definitely "Hollywood." The majority of TV shows and flicks are made there followed by New York City. Don't Look now but the Windy City is creeping its way up the rankings.
There have been many great movies and TV shows filmed or based in Illinois, especially Chicago. Think of the classics like "Ferris Bueller's Day Off" and "Married With Children." Since those days, thousands more have been made. It's a great location for a backdrop to enhance the story.
The Next Movie Coming Out Of Illinois
The next movie coming out of Illinois will be hitting theaters on July 1st. It's called "Most Guys Are Losers." It was filmed in Naperville, which by the way, I think is an excellent spot to make a movie. It has that ultimate "suburbs" feel to it.
Eric Ustian is the brains behind the movie. The story was based on the book "Most Guys Are Losers" by Mark Berzins.
Ustian, a 1998 graduate of Naperville North High School, is making his writing and directorial film debut with "Most Guys Are Losers."
"Most Guys Are Losers" focuses on a bar owner, played by Buckley, who pours years of experience into a book about helping women -- specifically, his daughter -- differentiate between good guys and bad guys.
Ustian's adaptation is based on the time he spent with Berzins, the actual writer of the how-to book.
"Most Guys Are Losers" Stars Some Big Names
They were able to secure some big names to be part of the project.
- Andy Buckley who played David Wallace on "The Office"
- Mira Sorvino from "Romy and Michele's High School Reunion."
- Paul Sorvino from "Goodfellas. Also, Mira's father.
Plus, there are several more. I look forward to checking out the movie for myself this summer.
