A time honored tradition at Wrigley Field is the singing on the 7th Inning Stretch. Of course this happens at all MLB games, but Wrigley's stretch is special.

After Harry Caray passed away it became this "find a celebrity to sing" thing. It sounds like a great idea, most are entertaining but there were a few that just were awful.

Now retired NASCAR star Jeff Gordon went with "Wrigley Stadium" on the mic which went over well. Steve Mongo McMichael was kicked out of Wrigley Field for using his 7th inning time stretch time to verbally attacking the ump.

There were some good ones though, you may not agree but here are my Top 5 Favorite 7th Inning Stretch Singers at Wrigley Field:

  • 5. Kid Rock - Ends singing with "Let's get Some Lunch"!
  • 4. Mike Ditka - Sprinted to the box, was completely out of breath
  • 3. Eddie Vedder - Hammer Eddie, great version
  • 2. Bill Murray - Bill has sang more than once, always a class act and loves it
  • 1. Ozzy - Forgot words, stumbled through most, but brought it home at the end
