Could Message On Dollar Lead To Missing Girl?
"My name is Mikel Biggs kidnapped From Mesa AZ I'm Alive"
The Chicago Tribune reports that, "Mikelle Biggs was last seen waiting for the ice cream truck, pedaling slow circles on her bicycle in the street four lots down from her house in Mesa, Arizona. Ninety seconds later, 11-year-old Mikelle Biggs was gone, the bike toppled over, wheels still spinning. The quarters Biggs had brought along to pay for the treat were scattered on the ground."
Authorities launched a massive hunt back in '99 to find Biggs. It got national news coverage, psychics were brought in, mine shafts in the area were searched, and many suspects were brought in but eventually released. With everything that went into the search it is amazing nothing came back about what happened to a sixth grade honor student who wanted to work for Disney when she grew up.
A message on a one dollar bill has brought the case back to life. Possibly.
This sounds amazing, but then reality sets in. Is it authentic? Is it someone playing a prank? When was the message actually written? Is it too late to help?
These are all questions that immediately jump into your mind. Even though you hope for the best in this situation.
Unfortunately, there isn't much you can do with it. You can't trace the dollar's travels from Wisconsin back to where she may or may not be.
Honestly, the only thing you can do is hope it's real and that she's ok.
“I don’t really think she was the one who wrote it,” Kimber Biggs told the Arizona Republic. “The fact that her name was spelled wrong was, you know, is kind of discredited. I don’t think that would be something she’d do.”
