Lori Explains: What Do the Referee Hand Signals in Football Mean?

I love football, but sometimes I have the hardest time following the game.

I'm gearing up for the Super Bowl and trying to figure out what these referee hand signals mean. See, football is difficult for me to follow. I was a cheerleader when I was younger for the local kiddie football team, but I didn't pay much attention to the game. In high school, I was a pom-pon who again, didn't pay much attention to the game.

Fast forward to my life now, I still don't pay attention to the game. Its ususally because I play a game during the football game called 'Tequila Touchdowns.' I'm sure you can guess what the rules are in that game. Yep, drink a shot of tequila when your team gets a touchdown.

I remember when I used to go to a lot of hockey games. I had a hard time figuring out what was happening then, but I remembered when the referee shot his arm straight up in the air, that meant icing.

Thanks to my friend Michelle, she printed out a sheet for me to bring with to the Super Bowl party this year. But, I still don't know what half of these mean.
