Loch Ness Monster Spotted on Sonar

Apparently, the Loch Ness Monster may have been spotted on sonar about 600-feet below the water's surface.

Retired skipper Rod Michie caught the image, just a month after a similar sighting after it was captured by Ronald Mackenzie on the "Spirit of Loch Ness" tourist boat.

He spoke out about the images captured in October, showing either a large group of fish, or a 33-foot-long fish-horse built like a brontosaurus.

Michie wonders if it could be the lost model of the beast that sank during the filming of The Private Life of Sherlock Holmes. Director Billy Wilder didn't like that the model had humps, so he asked for them to be removed. He was warned that the buoyancy of the model would be affected, but wanted them removed anyway. It sank.

Nessie expert Steve Feltham says the sonar images are the “most compelling” evidence to the existence of the creature.

10 sightings have been accepted this year by the "Official Loch Ness Monster Sightings Register."
