A Bridge Over Lake Michigan Could Help Avoid Chicago Traffic
Driving through Illinois around the Chicago area is the worst, so would a bridge over Lake Michigan help people from Wisconsin and Michigan travel back and forth more easily?
Petition To Build A Bridge Over Lake Michigan
First of all, before you get all angry and turn into an internet troll on me, I want to come clean and let you know this is a fun exercise. I saw a post today that said "petition to add 100 mile bridge to connect Michigan to Wisconsin. It's a total social media thing.

Okay, now that you know this fact let's take a look at the situation. Of course, this is never going to happen. Just imagine the cost of a project like this one. Plus, the construction would be damn near impossible.
Even though the concept is a joke if I were living in an imaginary world, this would be an amazing idea. Especially, for anyone trying to travel between Wisconsin and Michigan through Illinois. That drive is a total nightmare. I believe many people would pay that toll to avoid that traffic.
Driving around Chicago is terrible. The only place I've been that's worst is Los Angeles. I haven't been to New York City but I guess that is horrible too. It doesn't matter what day of the week or time of day, going anywhere near Chicago in a car is not fun.
In fact, over the past few months, it's gotten even worse. I didn't even think that was possible. Think about how much time and money would be saved with a bridge between Wisconsin and Michigan instead of driving through Chicago.
So what do you think of the idea? It isn't stupid, is it? I'd sign that petition for the bridge in a second. Well, maybe someday.
