The community at large knows that calling 911 is only meant for real emergencies.
However, late last week, Joliet police arrested a 47-year-old man, Derick Woods, after authorities say he made a half dozen 911 calls for phony emergencies.
The suspect called 911 six times between 3:30 am and 4 am. When the dispatcher would answer, the guy would scream swear words at them. Yeah, that's definitely going to get you arrested.
