Illinois Woman Was Gifted Lottery Ticket & Wins $1 Million Dollars

An Illinois woman is now $1 million dollars richer after she was gifted a Lucky Day Lottery ticket.

Imagine this: you gift your friend a lottery ticket, the numbers are revealed later that night, and they win the jackpot prize.  Would you be excited they won a million dollars or would you be kicking yourself over not keeping the ticket for yourself?

The lucky Loves Park woman was gifted the Lucky Day Lotto ticket from someone who is a regular customer at the FasMart gas station in Loves Park, Illinois.

The ticket matched all five winning numbers: 3-4-6-25-27. 

So, what now?  According to the winner, she said she plans on buying a car, finding a new place to live, giving some of the winnings to her grandfather, and putting the rest in savings.

The FasMart that sold the winning ticket will receive $10,000, which is 1% of the prize.

"The Lucky Day Lotto is played only in Illinois, with twice-daily drawings. More than four million winning Lucky Day Lotto tickets have been sold so far this year, with players winning in excess of $22 million collectively, officials said."

I'd be so upset if I gifted a lottery ticket and someone else won from it.  If I ever play the lottery, I will always keep the ticket for myself because you never know when it'll be a winner!
