Is This Small Town the Stateline’s Ice Cream Capital?

Summer temps are finally making an appearance in the Stateline and that means it's time to grab some ice cream, but where should you go?

If you're looking for two insanely impressive ice cream shops withing walking distance of each other, you should probably head to Belvidere.

Why Belvidere?
Because in less than five minutes you can enjoy a donut ice cream sandwich from an ice cream shop that's been in town for decades AND grab a fancy coffee drink from a new ice cream shop that's adorably adding to the deliciousness of the city.

Dari Ripple (105 S State St) has been in Belvidere for what seems like forever and the ice cream stand serves countless flavors of both soft serve and hard ice cream, sundaes, Dole Whip and the aforementioned donut ice cream sandwiches.

Sips & Sprinkles ( 221 W Locust St) is not even a year old and seems like the perfect place to host an ice cream birthday party. This location also has Dole Whip, loads of ice cream, coffee drinks and grab and go cakes and cookie ice cream sandwiches.

So I dare you, next time you're looking for some ice cream, drive to Belvidere and taste test both of these frosty gems and give us your reviews!
