Throughout this summer, I've been making several trips back and forth from the Chicago suburbs. My mom lives there and I'm going in to help her out with lots of stuff. Even though I grew up in the burbs, each time I think to myself, how do people drive around here every day?

The traffic has been terrible. It doesn't matter what day, time, or which way I go; it takes forever to get there. I could only imagine what it takes to actually get to work on time. That's without any delays from rush hour, construction, or accidents.
This is a total nightmare scenario for any Chicago-area commuters trying to get to work in the morning. There is a massive accident completely closing down the road you're on for an undetermined amount of time.

A semi-truck rolled over and spilled over 42,000 pounds of fruits and vegetables all over I-80, which is an extremely busy highway. You can't even make up an excuse like that to tell your boss why you're late. Could you imagine seeing all that food on the road?

A semi-truck crash early Friday spilled tens of thousands of pounds of produce across Interstate 80 near Morris, shutting down eastbound traffic.
The Illinois State Police said troopers responded around 1:47 a.m. to a single-vehicle rollover at milepost 104 on eastbound I-80 in Grundy County.
The semi-truck overturned, spilling roughly 42,000 pounds of produce onto the roadway.
