To help fix a damaged Jesus statue in Illinois, a toddler has donated the money from his piggy bank.

I think it's very sad when things are damaged or vandalized for no reason. I don't understand why people would do that. Especially, if it's something important to the community.

Last week in Peoria, Illinois, a statue of Jesus in Serenity Memorial Park was defaced.

People from that area have really come together to get it fixed. In fact, help came from an unexpected source.

According to mystateline.com,

"A two-year-old boy was sad to see it damaged. He decided to take action and donate the money from his piggy bank, which had a total of $57.70 inside."

It's the kind of story that just warms my heart.
