Police in Illinois busted a pair of criminals for a crime that you thought was only possible to see in a movie.

Two Illinois Residents Busted By Police For An Assassination Attempt

I'm a big fan of watching movies and streaming shows. My favorite genre is comedy, but sometimes I'll watch murder shows and thrillers with my wife. I enjoy those too. I think it's the excitement of not knowing what will happen next.

It freaks me out when I see a story, for example, about some crazy murder that really happened somewhere in Illinois, but it seems like something I would only see in a movie or show. That's scary stuff when a criminal commits a murder you only thought was possible on the screen.

Early one morning in Beach Park, a man was getting into his car when he was shot. The suspect's car was caught on security footage, so they were able to track him and another guy down. During the investigation, the police determined that the two suspects were actually hired to kill the victim. Those are real-life assassins, which is pretty darn scary.

According to NBC Chicago...

Two people were arrested in a murder-for-hire plot after a north suburban Beach Park man was shot earlier this week, authorities said.

The 28-year-old spoke with Lake County sheriff's detectives, who determined he was responsible for the shooting and obtained evidence he was hired to shoot and kill the victim, authorities said.

Investigators served a search warrant and recovered the firearm believed to have been used in the shooting and the phone he likely used to communicate with the person who hired him, sheriff's officials stated.
