Illinois’ First Sober Bar is in Crystal Lake

The Other Side isn't your average bar, it's a sanctuary for recovering addicts.

The Other Side opened officially opened on April 22, 2013 and it has been changing the lives of people ever since then.

At The Other Side, guests can belly up to the bar without worrying about the temptation of alcohol. According to their website The-Other-Side.org, they serve alcohol-free beverages only and there are plenty of activities such as darts, pool and ping pong. They even host monthly events like movie nights and comedy nights!

The Other Side also provides memberships for $10 a month. This will allow members to hang at the venue, work with sponsors, attend support groups and 12-step meetings which are held at the venue.

It is a fantastic community of people who support each other in their lives of sobriety.
