Former Cubs reliever Steve Cishek will remain in Chicago, just a little further south.

I've said this before but it's a good time to be a White Sox fan.

Cishek is a quality reliever that signed a very team-friendly contract. $6 million a year for a high leverage reliever is a pretty good deal. The contract includes language that would allow the White Sox to bring Cishek back for a second year at another $6 million.

The baseball war is heating up in Chicago. There is a strong possibility that both the Cubs and Sox will be in the playoffs at least once the next couple years with a red line World Series also in the mix. If both teams are in the World Series the city might burn, but it will be fun.
