For Sale Vintage Rolling Stones Shirt From 1981 Rockford Show
A vintage Rolling Stones concert t-shirt from their 1981 show at the Rockford MetroCentre is for sale on eBay.
When it comes to hobbies, I would say mine is music. I absolutely love it. I enjoy going to concerts. I still buy physical copies of albums (vinyl and CDs) from my favorite bands.
Unfortunately, I tried playing guitar back in high school but it did not quite work out. I could not pick it up with natural ability. It was going to take a lot of practice but I did not have the patience. I was a teenager and got frustrated easily. My singing voice was bad too, so there went my dreams of being a Rock Star.
I still wanted a career in music. I think that is why working in radio is the perfect job for me. It is not even like a job for me. Every day I look forward to coming to the station.
When I came to Rockford, I immediately wanted to learn about the music history of the city. Of course, there is Cheap Trick. I did some research about the concert scene. I have attended some good ones in my day, so I wanted to find out the story of the legendary shows that happened here.
There was a handful that I heard about over and over again. One that stood out above the rest. That was the Rolling Stones on October 1st, 1981 at the Rockford MetroCentre, now known as the BMO Harris Bank Center. I could not even imagine having the biggest band in the world playing in Rockford, Illinois. What an epic night.
When it comes to concert t-shirts, I have a little problem. I have a huge collection. I know that if I was at that show, I would have bought one for sure. I would to think if I did, that I would still have it today but being realistic, probably not. I buy the show merchandise to wear. It would have been long gone by now.
This find from the internet is pretty interesting. Especially, for any fans that were at that Stone's show.

"Vintage 1981 Rolling Stones Tattoo You Rockford Illinois Concert Shirt."
The front looks like a normal Rolling Stones shirt. I actually had one with that same logo.
Here is the cool part, just look at the back.
That makes this shirt special and rare.
I would think about adding it to my collection, but it is a little bit out of my price range. The cost is $390. If you are interested, order it, HERE.
If you were at that show, here are a couple of photos from the BMO Harris Bank Center archives for a flashback.
Please let us know if you end up buying it.
