We've heard the rumors, and apparently they are true. According to Bleacher Report, David Ross will be the next manager of the Chicago Cubs.

Has David been a manager, no. Does that matter to the Chicago Cubs brass, apparently not. The Cubs have no bones about it, that they want their next guy to run "their" system, and play "their" line ups...So will David be a babysitter? He does know a bunch of these current Cub players...buddy.

Like all pro sports moves and changes, the people at the top are way smarter than me...So as fun as it is to sit back and criticize this move, they obviously know more than I do.

Here's the tweet from Chicago sports guru, David Kaplan:

I would like more than ONE World Series trophy, as a life time Chicago Cubs fan. Hopefully this change will bring more hardware.
