Gary Pressy had been the Cub's organist for 33 years, the longest tenure in baseball, and yesterday's game was NOT the proper way to send him into retirement.

If you aren't aware, and I'm jealous of you if you're not, the Cubs absolutely face-planted over the weekend. They started a 4 game series with the Cardinals just 2 games back and were holding on to the last Wild Card spot. After getting swept by the Cardinals, in absolute crushing and unbelievable fashion, the Cubs let the Cardinals clinch the division and now are 3 games out of a wild card spot. The season is essentially over.

Sunday was the last regular-season game at Wrigley for the Cubs and the last game for organist Gary Pressy. Gary summed up the feelings of Cubs nation very nicely by playing "Heartache Tonight" by the Eagles.

Gary did get to choose the way he went out though. Before closing up shop for the last time he played "My Way" for his last song.

I don't want to say that Pressy was underappreciated because a ton of Cub fans know his name but he will definitely be missed.

Sorry, your tenure couldn't have ended on a happier note Gary but we all appreciate your service.
