In the very beginning stages of reality television programming, there was one show that took off like a wildfire, and that was "Cops."

The TV Show "Cops" Is Filming Future Episodes At A Wisconsin Jail

There are some television shows that all you have to hear is the first couple of notes from their opening theme song, and you totally know what program is coming up next. I don't even need to be looking.

One of the most recognizable television show opening theme songs is "Bad Boys" by Inner Circle, which is from "Cops." I would have to immediately look up to see the highlights leading into the show. Of course, you're going to have a bunch of shirtless guys getting arrested. I never understood that.

If I were home on a Saturday night or going out a little bit later, I would definitely turn on "Cops" for some entertainment. It's funny because it was rarely filmed anywhere near us. That's why I was excited to see that they're coming to the Wood County Jail in Wisconsin to film some episodes. I can't wait to see them.

According to On Focus...

The long-running TV show COPS is filming several episodes in Wood County, with crews spending the next few weeks inside the county’s new jail facility.

The filming will focus primarily on the jail, particularly the booking area, though crews may follow corrections officers to other parts of the facility if incidents occur.

It’s not easy being a corrections officer, no matter what part of the country you live in.
