Over time, things have simply changed. Improvements are needed at Cliffbreakers and it looks like help is on the way.

According to WIFR Cliffbreakers management is asking the City of Rockford to help get  a $2.7 million loan from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. Cliffbreakers already has the support of 5th Ward Alderman Venita Hervey.

One more vote is needed to make this happen, even though the city's planning and development committee approved the HUD loan.

Around $160,000 has already been put into Cliffbreakers by the current owners.

I've only been there maybe five times over the last ten years or so. I've always had a great time at Cliffbreakers, and look forward to this putting it back on the map.
