Christmas Time At The Rockford Ethnic Heritage Museum
This week for Things Double T Has Never Done In Rockford, I visited the Rockford Ethnic Heritage Museum.
Even though I've lived in Rockford for over twenty years, there are still many things I've never done in our community. My friend, Andrea, from the Rockford Area Convention and Visitors Bureau, has been taking me around to experience some of those things.
Please put the Rockford Ethnic Heritage Museum on your list of must-see things during Christmas. It's definitely a hidden gem in our community. Actually, it's great to see any time of year.
The museum features six galleries, one for each nationality that originally settled in the Rockford area. It includes African-American, Hispanic, Irish, Italian, Lithuanian, and Polish.
Each year for the holidays, they decorate to showcase each culture's traditions. Plus, the rest of the year they have awesome displays that are constantly changing.
While you are there, you can also explore the Graham-Ginestra House, which is another amazing place.
Here is my tour of the museum.
