Chicago Driver Leaves Scene After Smashing Into Panda Express

A driver in Chicago crashed into a Panda Express restaurant and then took off.

I still don't get it. How do you run into a building? It doesn't jump in front of you.

Of course, it happened again.

According to nbcchicago.com,

"A restaurant was heavily damaged after a driver lost control of his vehicle and crashed into it around 1:20 am. The driver of the vehicle ran off after the crash and is not in custody. A female passenger suffered minor injuries but refused medical attention." 

Well, at least it was late night, so no one was in the place to get hurt. I think it's hilarious the guy took off and left his car and a passenger. Did he really think that he could get away with it?
