Special One-Day-Only Dog Adoption Event Is Coming To Chicago

I was just a young child. My mom was at work. Her job was at night. My dad and I went over to my aunt and uncle's house. It was the summer, so we were all out in the backyard. The neighbor's dog just had puppies. They were Alaskan Malamutes.

I immediately fell in love and wanted one of those puppies so bad. I begged my dad all night until he finally gave in, even though he knew that my mom was not going to like it. The new puppy became a full-fledged member of our family. Pets make homes happy.

There is a very unique dog adoption event coming to Chicago. It's called speed dating with pups, and it's held on a boat. You can have a short boat ride with the dog to get to know them. Then, when the ride is over, if it's a match, you can adopt your new best friend. What a great idea.

The Chicago Boat Company is embarking on a heartwarming adventure filled with boats, belly rubs, and adoptable pups in honor of National Dog Day.

 

On Tuesday, August 26, anyone is welcome to mingle with adoptable dogs while enjoying a short, complimentary cruise aboard one of CBC’s all-electric Duffy boats.

 

 

After their “date on the water,” guests will have the opportunity to adopt their new furry companion!
