I'm sure there are some IceHogs fans sad to see Dylan Sikura leave since joining the Blackhawks organization back in 2014, but his replacement is a familiar face.

Brandon Pirri was originally drafted in the second by the Blackhawks in 2009 and split this past season between Vegas and the Chicago Wolves.

This Rockford alum will hopefully be a veteran asset to the IceHogs rooster when not in Chicago. The last time he played for the Forest City, Pirri won the John B. Sollenberger Trophy as the AHL’s top point-scorer with 75 points (22G, 53A). He is still the team's all-time leader in points (200) and assists (132). Pirri ranks third overall in IceHogs history with 68 goals behind Jeremy Morin (90) and Mark McNeill (72).
