Last year my husband and I took our girls to see their very first movie in the theater, and now there's no turning back. My girls now ask to go to the movie theater all the time, and it's something I enjoy doing too, BUT I definitely do not enjoy how much it costs to do so.

Even if we go to see a matinee movie, we're throwing down a pretty chunk of change between tickets and snacks for our family of four. Sure, I could tell my girls we aren't getting snacks while we're there but isn't that one of the biggest perks of going to a movie theater? I just can't bring myself to be THAT mom, (plus I want some dang snacks too!).

AMC Theatres Bring Back Popular $5 Movie Deal

Now that I have done enough complaining about the high cost of seeing a movie in the theater, let's talk about how you can save some major cash doing it this summer!

According to WGN;

Starting this week, fans can see a movie at any AMC Theatres location in the U.S. for $5 plus tax on Tuesdays.

Of course a deal this good has to have to small catch, right? To get the $5 movie deal on Tuesdays at AMC Theatres, you MUST be a member of the AMC Stubs Program. The Stubs Program is free to join, and all Stubs members can take advantage of $5 movies on Tuesdays through the end of October 2022.

Where to See $5 Movies In the Rockford Area

FYI, the $5 movie deal on Tuesdays is available at both Showplace 16 in Rockford and Showplace 14 in Machesney Park, so you better sign up for the AMC Stubs Program now and get ready to enjoy the shows!
