All 102 Illinois Counties Are Fatter in 2022

The last 10 year have not been kind to Illinois...or maybe the past decade has been "too kind," as in "it's ok, just eat this box of Twinkies...we love you."

Every county in Illinois (all 102 of them) has grown in the last ten years, but not in a good way. We are fat. All of us. Fat fatty fats...the entire state!

From BarBend all of Illinois needs to put down the Ding Dong's and Ho-Ho's and get on an elliptical, apparently. Every county in the Land of Lincoln had put of weight in the last 10 years...Which counties have done the worst" Check out these big folks:

Saline: 10% more obese

Vermillion: 10% more obese

Perry: 11% more obese

Jackson: 12% more obese

Montgomery: 14% more obese

Wow Montgomery, IL...you are 14% heavier in 10 years? The eats must be killer down there! Carb loading counties are the best, just not everyday...every year.

O.K. so who has done the "best" in Illinois county by county?

Grundy: 1% more obese

Logan: 1% more obese

Adams: 2% more obese

DuPage: 2% more obese

Monroe: 2% more obese

O.K. so what about around here? I mean, I like to eat...

Winnebago went from 29% of the county being obese to 38%, (insert slide whistle sound fx)

Stephenson goes like this, 30% to 37%.

Ogle 28% to 35%.

Dekalb 30 % to 36%.

Boone 30% to 34%.

Well there you go Illinois, you've asked for seconds and thirds one too many time in the last ten years, way to go.
