8/26/1990 Stevie Ray Vaughan’s Final Show, at Alpine Valley

In the early morning hours of August 27th 1990, Stevie Ray Vaughn left us.

SRV, Clapton, Alpine Valley August 26th 1990...This would be Stevie's final performance.

As the helicopter carrying SRV left Alpine Valley, the weather conditions were too much and there was a tragic accident. The helicopter hit a mountain side, and everyone died.

I can remember a group of us in high school making t-shirts and being blown away that it happened so close to home.
