Many golf courses are located near wooded areas, so there's a good chance of seeing wild animals. My list isn't too exciting. It included turkeys, geese, ducks, deer, squirrels, raccoons, and I'm sure a few more.
The scariest animal encounter I experienced on the golf course was with a skunk. Luckily, it was going in the opposite direction, so we were able to avoid getting sprayed. I've had friends who have run into crocs on a Florida course. No, thank you. Another scary situation recently happened in Wisconsin.

According to CBS...
A black bear was found in a tree on the Rolling Meadows Golf Course in Fond du Lac Monday morning, causing the course to close the neighboring nine holes.
I couldn't even imagine being that close to a big bear. This one didn't stay on the course too long. He eventually went into the woods to take a nap. They don't expect the animal to come back anytime soon. Hopefully, he'll find somewhere without people around to hang out.
