Winnebago Police Thank Resident For Sweet Note to First Responder
Sometimes the smallest gestures make the biggest differences, especially when they are done unexpectedly.
A woman named Marie recently wrote a letter of gratitude to the Winnebago Police Department, and I think her sweet gesture is something that should be commended and replicated all over the Stateline.
We often take for granted the sacrifices that these brave men and women make on a daily basis to protect their communities. They miss family birthdays and celebrations. They see unspeakable sights and help people through some of the worst moments of their lives. They sometimes experience pain, anger, and sadness on the job, yet they still have the courage to show up day after day to protect us. Thank you for praying for them, Marie, and thank you for reminding us all that we should be doing the same every single day.
