This is the last thing you would expect to receive after pulling over at a safety traffic stop.

I don't know about you, but every time I see a road side safety check, my heart skips a beat or seven.

I don't know why. I'm not doing anything wrong. I'm wearing my seat belt. I'm a good driver.

Why do I get so nervous? It must be because police are intimidating. I know, the police are humans just like us, they are kind and are here to serve and protect. But I'm still intimidated. I just am.

Friday, the Winnebago County Sheriff's Office was conducting traffic stops at Springfield and Kilburn, according to WIFR.

Although tickets weren't what officers were giving away.

Instead, of passing out tickets, officers gave away donuts from Currans Apple Orchard! How sweet is that!

The reason being is their "Donut Worry" program that is meant to create and promote good will between the public and officers.

Well, I'd say that if an officer was going to give me one of those tasty donuts, we would be friends for life.

Were you one of the lucky ones who scored a donut? If so, let us know in the comments below!
