Mimosas, ham, waffles, fruit and lamb are all part of the Easter Brunch tradition.

Easter was always spent quietly at home with my family. A ham would be made, green beans with bacon (my favorite) and from-scratch mashed potatoes would be on the dinner table. Dad would set out the fancy linens and china and each year we would forget to light the candles on the table.

After a few mimosas, it's no wonder we forgot to light the candles.

It wasn't until I started working in fine dining restaurants where I realized that others enjoy the tradition of Easter Brunch out at a restaurant.

I absolutely understand the appeal! You can enjoy brunch with your family, delicious food that you didn't have to cook and you don't have to do the dishes afterwards! That's awesome.

There are many places in the Rockford area that offer Easter Brunch. Tables fill up quickly, so if this is a tradition you have had in place for quite some time or something new you would like to try this year, here is a handy list of Rockford area restaurants offering Easter Brunch.
