During a Rock River clean up volunteers discovered many shoes.

I could never understand how people lose shoes. Especially, just one. If they are on your feet, how do they just fall off? I see them in random places like the street, park, sidewalk, yard, tree, and many more.

This past weekend, a bunch of volunteers got together to do something nice for the community. They did a Rock River clean up.

According to gazettextra.com,

"Protect Wisconsin Waterways, the Rock River Storm Water Group and UW-Whitewater partnered with several cities to collectively clean the Rock River watershed Saturday."

It's amazing some of the things the group found including tires, fishing poles, and of course, several shoes. Again, how do all these shoes end up in the river?

Well, at least it wasn't a dead body.

A special thanks to all that participated.
