Two of America’s Worst Cities for Potholes are in Illinois

Snow leads to salt, salt leads to potholes and potholes lead to plenty of pain in your bank account.

Here's the scene, you're cruising down the road, let's say Alpine Road in Rockford for example and all of a sudden you see something.

At first, you're not sure what it might be but you think there's no way there can be a hole in the Earth that big.

So you forage on, and then it happens, that thing you thought couldn't possibly be, was and is. That massive hole you talked yourself out of was indeed the largest pothole you've ever seen and your car is now in shambles.

Whether you blew out a tire, busted your shocks or all of a sudden started hearing a weird noise, potholes in Illinois are no joke.

Especially now, months into the winter season, snow and salt can lead to some of the most well-kept roads showing some signs of wear and tear.

So it makes sense a new report by quotewizard.com ranks Illinois 7th overall when it comes to "pothole problems."

Worse yet, two towns in Illinois made the top 50 cities when it comes to these car damaging craters.

Surprisingly, Champaign was the highest-ranking Illinois city for potholes issues at #32 with Chicago coming in at #41.

If you clicked fully believing Rockford would be certainly in the top 50, if not #1, I got good (?) news for you, The Forest City wasn't even ranked.
