This Incident In Rockford Is An Example Why Legal Weed Is Good

Legal recreational marijuana is good for Illinois because of incidents like this one that recently happened in Rockford.

It doesn't matter if cannabis is legal or not, people are going to smoke it. By permitting the sale and use of pot in Illinois has many positive aspects. A big one is eliminating the danger factor. When there are dispensaries to purchase weed, then people don't have to go to shady places to get the product. Here's the perfect example of what can happen when marijuana is against the law.

According to mystateline.com,

"A man was shot in the shoulder while apparently trying to buy marijuana. The victim walked into a local hospital for treatment. His injuries are non-life threatening."

If he had a safe place to buy his marijuana, this wouldn't have happened. He was lucky. This could have been much worse. I bet he can't wait until January 1st.
