Despite the popularity of paczkis, there are only two places in Rockford that participate in the process.

Paczki are Polish doughnuts. Usually full of jelly or some kind of sweet filling, they are known to draw lines around the block this time of year.

Besides sipping on a Hurricane, chowing down on a paczki is the best part of Fat Tuesday.

Midday Michelle knows of one of the places that makes a good paczki. That would be Bella Luna Bakery, 308 West State Street. Michelle was taught how to make her own when she stopped by.

The other is next to 15th and Chris, Penguin Foods, 1614 Christina Street. How about a Paczki Burger?
