Carlos Rodon of the Chicago White Sox threw a no-hitter against the Cleveland Indians last night, and I'm here to tell you that WILL BE the Chicago sports story of 2021. There is no way in hell that anything out of Chicago will top this during this calendar year...Not a chance.

Here's the difficult part for me to admit this, I am NOT a Chicago White Sox fan. But the reality of the rest of the pro sports franchises in Chicago is that nothing will top this.

A few hard hit balls, he hit one batter, but Carlos Rodon survived to give up no hits. Always such a great sports moment, and I'm glad it happened for a Chicago sports team because everything else looks dreadful in the Windy City.

The Chicago Cubs are going through lineup changes. They are moving players out, shuffling younger guys in, and appear ready to move away from star players like Bryant, Rizzo, and Baez. This will be a long and painful Cubs season...again.

The Chicago Bulls are rebuilding and the future looks bright, key word here is "future." Their younger players are very promising, but will 2021 hold anything special for Chicago Bulls fans? Nope.

The Chicago Bears organization in "content" with 8-8 and being "The Chicago Bears." In a league where you can completely turn around a franchise in 365 days, the Bears make ZERO effort to join the elite teams in the league as a major player. The are the Chicago Bears, and will play less than .500 ball this year.

So there you go Chicago sports fans, the harsh reality on what we witnessed last night. THE greatest Chicago sports moment for the entire year of 2021, congrats Carlos. CBSSPORTS
